US 30 is a 4 lane limited access highway that runs east to west across the county. This recently constructed highway provides easy access to the following interstates:

  • Interstate 71 – 35 minutes
  • Interstate 75 – 45 minutes
  • Interstate 77 – 90 minutes

Crawford County is well-positioned to serve businesses via rail with lines from Norfolk Southern, CSX, Wheeling and Lake Erie and CFE and connections to Ashland Railway, Canadian National, Indian and Ohio Railway, Ohio Central, R.J. Corman and many others. In New Washington, there is a 50-car siding and transloading site and a 150 car siding in Crestline. Rail access in Crawford is also a tremendous asset because of its proximity to 9 major ports in Ohio—Toledo, Sandusky, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Ashtabula, Lorain, Conneaut, Fairport Harbo and Huron which can easily accommodate global transport and save on shipping costs. Crawford has two smaller airports. Port Bucyrus airport has a runway length of 3,900 feet while Galion airport has a runway length of 3,500 feet. Mansfield Lahm Airport a larger regional airport located just 20 minutes from Crawford has a runway length of 9000 feet. Port Columbus International Airport and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport are within a 90 minute drive.
